BeatingBackPain.com Privacy Statement

Here you will find what this site adheres to regarding your privacy.

We recognize the importance of protecting your personal privacy and this policy is designed to assist you in understanding what information is captured on this site and what, if anything, we do with it. All to help you make responsible choices when visiting our site.

Our Four privacy promises:

1st We protect your personal information as if it were our own.

2nd We use your personal information only for the purposes described in this privacy statement.

3rd We do not retain your data longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in this privacy statement.

4th We never share your personal information with other parties without good reason.

What information do we collect?

During your visit to our site, you may provide us with two types of information: personal data that you specifically provide yourself and that is stored on an individual basis and, in addition, website information that is collected on the basis of general data regarding the use of our website, think of visitor numbers, etc.

What personal data does BeatingBackPain.com process?

In order to perform the agreement you enter into with us, we need the following personal data from you.

Name and address information

Your name is stored because we prefer not to address you by your customer number. We need your address and place of residence, among other things, to prepare invoice(s). We also use this information to personalize your e-book(s).

Email address

We retain your email address so that it is possible to send you important messages about your order or account and also for personalization of your e-book(s). We may also use your email address to keep you up-to-date on new developments at BeatingBackPain.com via newsletters. Of course, you have the option to unsubscribe from these.

Phone number

We use your phone number to contact you in an emergency or to request your input. We also use your phone number when personalizing your e-book(s).

Login information and customer number

We store your login information to secure access to your account so that only you can log in. We also create a unique customer number that allows us to help you more quickly.

IP address

We store your IP address to give you a record of the IP address from which your account was logged in or changes were made. This address is also used to better protect your account from unauthorized access.

Payment details

After a successful order, we store the transaction data of the payment – the paypal transaction code, the stripe transaction code or the iDeal transaction code. We also use other parties, such as credit card companies, to process your payments. When you place an order, we create a unique invoice number that is linked to your account.

Purposes of data processing

Of course, we do not process your personal data without an underlying reason; we need it for:

· Providing access to our website and services, for example, allowing you to log into your own secure area of our website to download your e-book(s) or invoice(s);

· entering into and performing your agreement with us so that we know what services you are entitled to;

· contacting you, for example to help you with a problem you are facing;

· handling your complaint, for a long and happy relationship;

· securing our services and fighting fraud, so that, for example, no one else is impersonating you;

· personalizing any or all of the e-book(s) you order.

After obtaining your consent, we also use your personal data for:

· gaining insight into the use of our website, so that we know, for example, which pages need to be better laid out;

· improving and evaluating our website and services, so that we know, for example, what new features you would like to see in our services;

· tailoring our content to your interests so that, for example, you don’t see ads on Facebook that don’t add value;

We will not use your personal data for purposes other than those discussed above unless you have given your prior consent or we are required by law to do so.

Cooperation in tax and criminal investigations

In appropriate cases, BeatingBackPain.com may be required by law to share your data in connection with governmental fiscal or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your information, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered by law.

Retention periods

When you purchase book(s) on BeatingBackPain.com, you get access to the new versions of those books for the lifetime of those books. Hence, we also keep your information on file for the lifetime of our books. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a forgetting request. We are required by applicable administrative requirements to retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for the duration of the applicable term.
However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have produced as a result of your assignment.

Web Site Usage Information

Like almost all websites present on the Internet, our website uses a standard technology called “cookies” (see statement below). Our website uses session cookies, which are necessary for the content management system that serves the pages on the Internet. Our website does NOT use cookies for visit registration.

This site works for tracking visitor numbers and usage of our site with Matomo (formerly Piwik) and with the cookie-free version. The site might also work with a facebook pixel for which a cookie is used. Through the facebook pixel we could provide people who have visited our site with relevant information through facebook ads.

What are Cookies?

A cookie is a very small text document, often containing an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a Web site, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file on a special part of your hard drive that has been specially created for this purpose. Each Web site can send its own cookie to your browser – if your browser allows it, of course. To protect your privacy, your browser only permits a Web site to access the cookie it has previously stored on your computer, not the cookies of other sites. Most browsers accept cookies by default. Of course, if you choose not to accept cookies on your computer, you must change your browser settings. If you do so, some parts of our site may not function as effectively during your visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from your hard drive nor can it transmit computer viruses, it is a standard Internet browser technology, with no possibility of infecting your computer.

How do we use information we get from cookies?

When you visit our site, our site uses cookies to distinguish you from other visitors. In some cases, we use cookies to ensure that you only need to log in once – for example, on secure areas of our site.
Cookies are only used on this site for necessary processes, our content management system runs with necessary session cookies, and our secure environment uses cookies to ensure that you can access the secure pages where you can access e-books and information you have purchased. Cookies might also be also used on our site in case you started a checkout and were not able to complete your order, to make order completion easier for you, in case that is what you want.

IP addresses

IP Addresses are used every time you connect to the Internet. Your IP address is the number used by computers on the Internet network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by our Web server as part of demographic and profile data known as traffic data so that data – such as Internet pages you request – can be sent to you.

Automatically collected data

Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. These data (for example, your IP address, web browser and operating system) are not personal data.
